5 Reasons to Make the Switch to Solid Shampoo

Since launching in 2018, we've sold thousands of our shampoo bars. The trend for solid soap bars has been on the rise over the past five of years with customers wanting a more eco-friendly lifestyle and plastic-free bathroom

Here's our updated top five favourite reasons to make the switch to solid shampoos (if you haven't already). If you are yet to be converted, or are just wondering what the benefits of the solid bars are, grab a cuppa, put your feet up and read on...

1. Plastic-free packaging!

First and foremost, the main attraction of solid shampoos is the lack of plastic packaging that comes hand-in-hand with many mainstream branded liquid soaps. Customers are increasingly waking up to the dangers of plastic use. Plastic bottles from drinks and household goods are consumed at an incredible rate with a over a million plastic bottles bought around the world every minute. By opting for a plastic free shampoos, customers can take a strong step in reducing plastic consumption across the board! Recycling is great but the only way to truly combat the problem is to stop using plastic packaging altogether.

2. Last a long time - concentrated!

Shampoo bars are a lot more concentrated than liquid soaps. They are not 'watered down' as many mainstream brand shampoos, meaning they last a lot, lot longer (and a lot more easier to transport - meaning costs aren't passed to you). Some retailers have claimed that shampoo soap bars can last over three times as long as your average liquid shampoo. Saving you money and time in the long run!

3. Handy for travel

These shampoo bars come in a very compact size which is perfect for travelling. Gone are the days of dropping a full-sized plastic bottle of shampoo into your suitcase or saving up shampoo samples from hotels and B&Bs to fuel your trips away. Simply wrap up your little soap and away you go. They are extra handy at getting through airport security too!

4. Save space.

We don't know about you but we can never find enough room in our showers and bathroom shelves for all our treats and products. Our handy little shampoo bars save us so much space.

To add to this, these have a low carbon footprint. We save lots of space on distribution and travel costs as so many more shampoo bars can fit into the same space as fewer Liquid Soaps.

5. They clean your hair!

And last but by no means less, the bars are wonderfully good at what they should do. To use, simply wet your hair then run the soap into it or lather up in your hands. Then you can massage the foam into your hair and scalp as you would a liquid shampoo. Rinse and you are ready to go! Don't forget to leave the soap in a dish to dry it out too and it will last longer.

We only use the most natural and kind ingredients in our shampoo bars. We don't put in any unnecessary additives or plastics and you absolutely won't find any palm oil in any of our products. If you have tried our shampoo, do get in touch and let us know what you think - we would love to hear from you!

So, what do you think? Are you ready to make the move to plastic-free shampoo bars yet?

Hi Laura, there’s nothing in the soap which I would expect to react with hair colour but I would strongly recommend testing out on a small area first. Best wishes

Are your soap bars suitable for coloured hair?
