Ideal for re-energising in preparation for the new year, this two hour event offers a unique opportunity to switch off from the outside world and connect with your inner peace, held within the feminine energy of the Circle.

READ ABOUT THE WOMEN'S CIRCLE EXPERIENCE HERE 

As you enter this sacred space, you'll be welcomed by Nicola, an experienced Reiki Master and Circle holder, who will be guiding you through the afternoon. Enjoy the soothing properties of essential oils by the gentle glow of candlelight, in our peaceful atmosphere, designed to encourage relaxation and openness.

Our transformative Women's Circle is a sacred space for connection, healing, and empowerment. This gathering combines the nurturing energy Reiki and Womb Reiki, helping you reconnect with your inner self, release emotional blockages, and restore balance. The Circle begins with a brief grounding meditation allowing you to unwind and become present. Participants will then use Oracle cards, alongside an optional known-superfood Cacao drink, to set their intentions for the upcoming months.

Our Reiki Master Nicola will use the vibrations of her Shamanic drum to help participants release any tension held within the body, or let go of anything that no longer serves you. This will be followed by a guided meditation, helping you to relax further and connect with your inner peace, before using breath work to observe the new sense of calm within. Throughout the breathwork, each participant will also receive Reiki healing. Reiki channels universal life force energy, promoting balance and harmony within each individual's body, mind, and spirit. This can be done hands on, or off, the body.

The collective energy of the women's circle enhances this healing process, fostering a sense of unity, empowerment, and shared support as you connect with other like minded women.

Throughout the session, there will be moments of silent reflection and opportunities for participants to share their experiences, if they desire. This sacred sharing space helps to deepen the bond among the participants, creating a nurturing community that extends beyond the circle. By the end of the Circle, you'll feel rejuvenated and re-energised, with a renewed sense of clarity and peace.

Refreshments will be available throughout the session.

Indian head massage, also referred to as champissage, is an ancient, traditional Ayurvedic treatment, originating from India, which focuses on the acupressure points on the head, neck, and shoulders, using circular massage strokes to improve hair and scalp condition. The practice, which has been deployed for over 2000 years, originated as a bonding and caring experience among family members, neighbours and friends. 

The benefits of the treatment include:

• Promoting hair growth by increasing oxygen to the scalp and follicles  
• Relief of headaches and migraines through reduction of tension in the head, shoulders and neck 
• Enhancing relaxation and relief of the symptoms of depression and anxiety 
• Reduction of stress, quietenting of the mind and boosting of memory 
• Stimulation of lymphatic and cerebral fluid drainage 
• Improvement of sleep through promoting reduction in stress

Our experienced, qualified practitioner, Wayne King, will provide 30 minute one to one treatments in ambient surroundings; fragranced with our signature blend essential oil wellbeing candles and diffusers. 

These treatments require no oils (unless desired), can be administered seated if required and can be performed through light clothing. The treatments are therefore both inclusive and accessible; perfect for newcomers to massage and wellbeing. These taster length massages are an ideal introduction to this outstandingly relaxing and caring treatment.

An afternoon of seasonal, hands-on fun and inspiration for our younger friends and their parents/guardians, here at our Malton store, under the careful, guiding eye of our fully trained on-site team.

An opportunity for children over 7 years old to try something new and exciting at our easter decoration and bath bomb-making session and to take home with pride, their lovely, handmade goodies, after the session too. 

Designed especially with fun and creativity in mind, this workshop will teach children how to safely make their own sparkly, fizzy bath bombs and clay easter decorations, all from natural ingredients. Their 'makes' can then be taken home to be used and gifted to family and family friends. With help and guidance along the way from our experienced Cosy Cottage product makers, this small group activity is sure to be a firm favourite for our younger customers. 

We provide all the ingredients and materials needed.  All that's needed is enthusiasm and a smile. The session will last one and a half hours and the children will take home their own handmade goodies -  8 fizzy bath bombs and 2 decorations. 

Workshop suitable for children 7 years and over. Limited spaces available. 

Please bring an apron or art shirt in case of small spills on the day!

Create beautiful, unique candles and soaps to take home with you!

Join us for the day in our Malton, Navigation Wharf workshop for a glorious, relaxing crafting day. In the morning, create two large (300ml) or several smaller 100% soy wax, scented candles, then in the afternoon, we enjoy a session of palm oil free soap-making, making six bars of your own signature, cold process soap to take home. We will share a delicious lunch together and there will be time to wander around Malton's Market Place after lunch too, if you wish.

In our spacious premises in Navigation Wharf, Yorkersgate, next to the Talbot Hotel, Malton, we will be hosting up to ten participants for each of the morning and afternoon sessions. The programme for this special all-day event is as follows

10.30am start with Tea/coffee, cake, introductions and safety briefing 

Candlemaking background, materials, fragrances and choice of containers
Candlemaking demonstration
Make-your own soy wax candles to take home
Decorate a pre-made candle using a range of materials provided by us

12.45 - LUNCH and relaxation time

Your palm oil free soaps are created from vegetable oils and waxes using the cold process soap-making method. No melt-and-pour synthetic soap bases here! Your 100% soy wax candles are made from 100% high quality soy wax; no paraffin or smoky waxes!. Your items will be unique to you, personalised with your own dried flowers, fruit, exfoliants and essential oil fragrances.

We are delighted to partner with our local friends at Wolds Barn in Duggleby to bring you this fascinating and exclusive goats milk soap-making workshop, incorporating the milk from their beautiful goats. We have been working with Sam and her family for several years and are thrilled that she and her beautiful goats have agreed to participate in the workshop.

Join us and our friends from Wolds Barn, in our Malton, Navigation Wharf workshop (see below for google maps link) for a glorious, relaxing time meeting and learning about the goats and making therapeutic goats milk soap, renowned for its skincare benefits and its soothing effects for those with eczema and other dry, sore skin conditions.

Learn the special techniques needed to create goats milK soaps and make six bars of your own goats milk soap to take home and enjoy. 

We have had outstanding feedback from past participants on our goats milk soap-making workshops and are delighted to host these new variant of our extremely popular soap-making workshops. Due to the popularity of these workshops, early booking is recommended.

You will make your palm oil free goats milk soap from vegetable oils and waxes using the cold process soap-making method and raw, unpasteurised goats milk. No melt-and-pour synthetic soap bases or UHT milk/milk powder here!

We would love you to join us in our Malton, Navigation Wharf workshop for a Crafty session, learning how to make decorated, 100% soy wax, container candles. You will create 2 x large candles (usual RRP £20+ each) or a collection of smaller candles and tea lights, to take home with you. 

All your candles will be fragranced with your choice of natural essential oils and essential oil blends rather than synthetic fragrances.  

We will start with warm drinks and cake, before settling down for a session of learning and crafting together. We anticipate the workshop will take around two hours but we do not like to rush, it's all meant to be enjoyable and relaxing :)
