We are delighted to offer this packaged make-at-home soap kit so you are able to enjoy making your own natural, palm oil free soaps from the comfort of your home. There is sweet orange fragrance included but if you'd like to make fragrance free, you can leave this out.

The kit contains everything you need, pre-weighed in your very own soap-making pack and includes a disposable mould. You can make your soaps while watching our demonstration video (via the link above) or watch the video first then make the soap later at your own pace.

You'll also receive email support via service@cosycottagesoap.co.uk if you have any questions about the make-at-home pack and the process of soap making.

Disappointed

My friend and I have both made up this kit having watched the video several times and following the instructions exactly. We both found that a thick trace was reached as soon as the oils and lye were combined and we had to work quickly to pour the mixture into the mould before it began to set. The soap has been sliced and left to stand as instructed so only time will tell but it has very little smell. So far feeling very disappointed.

Soap has been made gave to wait to see how it turns out. I didn’t receive the kit as per video. Glass bottle was substituted for a plastic one

Lovely little knit kit

The bamboo needles took a few rows to become smooth, until then my grandson found them hard to work with. He’s persevered and is loving knitting a Christmas present for his mummy.

Join us in our Malton, Navigation Wharf workshop (see below for google maps link) for a glorious, relaxing afternoon of palm oil free soap-making! Make six bars of your own signature, cold process soap to take home.

We have had outstanding feedback from past participants and are delighted to have scheduled our workshops into 2025. Due to the popularity of these workshops, early booking is recommended.

In our spacious premises in Navigation Wharf, Yorkersgate, next to the Talbot Hotel, Malton, we are very happy to be able to host up to ten participants, to make six, lovely bars of palm oil free soap each, bearing your own signature fragrance, made from a blend of essential oils.

You will make your palm oil free soap from vegetable oils and waxes using the cold process soap-making method. No melt-and-pour synthetic soap bases here! Your will then personalise your soap using dried flowers, fruit, exfoliants and fragrances.

These workshops make superb gifts. If you would like a card to be sent to the recipient, please select your Gift Card and add your message at checkout. Please ensure that we have the address for the recipient if you would like the card to be sent directly

The morning sessions will start at 10.00 a.m. and finish around noon and afternoon sessions will start at 2pm and finish at around 4.00pm (depending on how quickly we work - we do not like to rush, it's meant to be relaxing!)

Soap making

My first workshop soap making. So much interesting information. Made our individual soap. Smells beautiful. Looking forward to using it in three weeks. Will lookout for more workshops. The decoders are amazing and the face products.

Soap making workshop

Myself and 3 friends attended yesterday. We were all made welcome from the offset. The session was very leisurely and the process was explained very clearly, after an informative slide show. We had both verbal and written instructions to refer to. The soap making itself was interesting and we had scope to customise our soaps.
We are all looking forward to trying our soaps in due course.

We are delighted to partner with our local friends at Wolds Barn in Duggleby to bring you this fascinating and exclusive goats milk soap-making workshop, incorporating the milk from their beautiful goats. We have been working with Sam and her family for several years and are thrilled that she and her beautiful goats have agreed to participate in the workshop.

Join us and our friends from Wolds Barn, in our Malton, Navigation Wharf workshop (see below for google maps link) for a glorious, relaxing time meeting and learning about the goats and making therapeutic goats milk soap, renowned for its skincare benefits and its soothing effects for those with eczema and other dry, sore skin conditions.

Learn the special techniques needed to create goats milK soaps and make six bars of your own goats milk soap to take home and enjoy.
