These special, natural, low-mile, palm oil free soaps, are a beautiful evocation of the Yorkshire countryside within which we live and work.
Grown in lavender fields located within ten miles of our workshops in Malton; sustainability, localness and family values are the driving forces for these new, local supplier partnerships with lavender growers.
Our delightful, exclusive wrappers are designed by our in-house designer and local artist, Eddie Walker.
Lavender boasts outstanding healing and relaxation properties and the gentle, natural aroma in shower or bathroom is a great addition to your relaxation and pre-bedtime rituals.
As with all of our products, this 80g bar of creamy and caring coconut oil based soap is made in small, waste-free batches in our workshop Malton. Everything is SLS free, additive-free, palm oil-free, cruelty-free, plastic-free and delightfully 100% natural. All packaging is either fully recyclable paper, cardboard or plant derived and will compost within a year.

The deeply nourishing formulation is suitable for daytime use and can be worn with or without makeup. The richness of the product means you only need a little, worked in using the fingertips, at each application. You may wish to allow the product to be absorbed for a couple of minutes before applying foundation or powder.
Our generous 60ml glass jar with an aluminium lid will last you well and thé packaging is recyclable.
HOW TO USE THIS PRODUCT
Pick up a little product (a pea sized scoop is sufficient to start with) on your fingertips. If required, pick up a little more product as you go, particularly if using on the neck and decolletage areas. Remember that all our products are water free, great value for money and a little goes a very long way.
Massage gently into clean, dry skin over the whole facial skin area, using gentle, circular movelments. Extend to neck and decolletage areas too if desired, for a more wide-reaching moisturisation.
Take a little time (if you are not in a rush), to massage the product into the skin to stimulate and improve circulation.
Take care to be gentle closer to the eyes and avoid getting the product directly into the eyes.
Allow to sink in for a few moments if applying foundation over the product.
Can also be used overnight as a deep moisturisation overnight treatment. If using overnight, use around twice as much product per application as you normally require for your normal daytime use.

I’m 68 years old now so I’ve tried so many face moisturiser over the years…. Some expensive ones too but the honey and. rosehip face cream I can honestly say is the best I’ve ever used. At first it seems to just sit on the skin but then it sinks in leaving my skin so soft and I love the scent. I just think it’s incredible! Glad I’ve found it!

On first use, my initial reaction was it was a strange texture and did not wash off but left a waxy residue on ny face. I ended up removing it with the shea facial soap which I believe from reading the reviews is the best way to use the product. I will stick with it as my skin feels lovely after using it, however instructions on how to get the best out of the product and what to expect would be very useful.

A little disappointing
I absolutely adore Cosy Cottage Face Cream & Facial Oil, but I’m a little disappointed with the facial scrub. Very oily and hard to rinse off and not enough exfoliating particles to buff off dead skin.
Hi Chelsea. Thanks for your review. The facial scrub isn't really scratchy but this is because the skin on the face is very gentle. Work the product around the skin for a gentle exfoliation and then use a hot cloth to take it off. This helps soften it and adds moisture to the skin and improves the appearance of pores. Best wishes

This product has really helped with my dry menopausal skin. I use it as suggested on the website - rubbing it onto my skin then using a bit of warm water to massage it more and finally using the face soap and flannel to remove it. I use it every day and don’t have that dry scaly skin anymore!

Sadly disappointed 😞
I usually love Cosy Cottage products but found that this scrub is so oily that it doesn't rinse off and I then have to use a facial wash to remove it otherwise my skin is left with a greasy sheen on it. Not sure if I got a rogue batch? It exfoliates well when washing off with another fash wash!

This generous and long-lasting 100ml tin uses the well-known therapeutic qualities of aloin, found in both aloe vera and in kelp. This new mask will nourish dry facial skin, regenerate and help to soothe troublesome conditions including rosacea, eczema and psoriasis.
Harvested from the sea on Yorkshire's coast, natural and fast-growing kelp contains the compound aloin, which is also present in the natural aloe vera gel, within this rich and regenerative facial mask. It is also 100% palm oil free, and the packaging is plastic-free and fully recyclable.
HOW TO USE THIS PRODUCT
Pick up a scoop of product on your fingertips or a soft brush if preferred. Start with a marble sized amount of mask. You can pick up more product as you go. Remember that all our products are water free, great value for money and a little goes a very long way.
Apply gently onto the surface of clean, dry skin over the whole facial area, using gentle, sweeping movelments. Apply sufficient mask to leave a layer or top of the skin and avoid getting the product into your eyes. You can use a soft brush to sweep the product onto the skin preferred.
Relax and lie back and allow the product to sink into the skin. We recommend leaving the product for a period of 15 to 20 minutes if you are able to do so. The product will however prove effective after around 5 minutes if you are short of time.
After leaving for the chosen period, gently massage any product which has not been absorbed, over the skin's surface, using small, circular movements. Take care to avoid the sensitive eye area.
Remove any residual product from the skin's surface gently using a slightly damp soft flannel or cloth and pat dry.

This felt most uncomfortable on my face it was very greasy and made my face feel hot. When I rinsed it off it left my skin feeling tight.
